I’m Dusty Klifman and I’d like to welcome you to Blueyes Below. The Great Lakes are an amazing place to live with adventures to be had and places to explore.

You’re invited to join me as I search for shipwrecks. Along the way, I’ll take you sailing, hiking and exploring. I’ve even set up a little biography page if you’d like to learn more about me.

I’m glad you’re here. There is so much to share.

adventure doesn’t end with shipwrecks. There are stories to be told about the journey, too.

Whether it’s a canoe trip down a pleasant river, diving deep sinkholes, or spending time on amazing islands, it’s all part of the story.

You can be a Great Lakes explorer, too. If you like to see and visit out-of-the-way places above and below the water, you have found a home with Blueyes below.

Blueyes below has a very active social media presence, so it’s easy to follow along. You will experience sailing, boating, hiking and camping through those channels.

Great Lakes Shipwrecks

Researchers believe that over 6,000 shipwrecks lie beneath the waves of the Great Lakes. These waterways were once the “highways” of the Midwest. Far too often ships would leave port never to return.

Blueyes Below is actively working to rediscover these lost ships and document the shipwreck sites with high-quality photography and video. The intent, always, is to share what is found with anyone who wishes to see it.

By diving and using a state-of-the-art ROV, Blueyes Below will become your eyes underwater, allowing you to see and explore these shipwrecks, too. Along the way you can learn about the equipment we use, and a bit more about diving shipwrecks in the Great Lakes.

Here are a few Blueyes Below favorite videos and photos from past expeditions to a few Great Lakes shipwrecks.  There is so much more to see that I would like to share with you.  Exploring these shipwrecks and then bringing back images to share truly is my passion.
